Daviess County High School wins Kentucky academic team championship

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT)- Daviess County High School announced Wednesday that its academic team won the Kentucky state championship and placed sixth out of 89 teams nationally in a virtual competition in April.

The competiton followed a “3-2-1” format where teams a presented a “triad” of clues. If teams get the first, most difficult clue correctly, they received three points. If they get the second clue correctly, they get 2 points and if they get the third clue right, they get one point. If they get all three clues correct, they can receive six points.

Teams had two hours to answer 80 triads with 240 questions.
