Local News

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT)- Daviess County takes legal action against opioid distributors. The county approved a contract with two law firms to represent them in the litigation process.

One of those law firms is Rhoads & Rhoads in Owensboro.

The process involves cities, counties, and agencies nationwide.

Claud Porter, Daviess County Attorney, states, “the county can opt out of the case if they don’t approve of a deal or if they won’t receive anything from the settlement.”

He explained that the case could take several years to settle since many groups are involved.
