DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A small portion of Daviess County voted to allow alcohol sales in the Thorobred West Precinct.
It passed with 39 voting yes and 27 voting no.
The vote comes after a petition circulated in the area.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – A small portion of Daviess County in one of the busiest parts of Owensboro are heading to the polls for an alcohol vote on Tuesday.
The Daviess County Clerk’s Office said the Thorobred West Precinct is one of two remaining dry areas along the Highway 54 strip.
There are a little more than 530 voters eligible to cast ballots.
The vote comes after a petition circulated in the area.
Polls opened at 6 a.m. at Highland Elementary School.
Polls close at 6 p.m.
