Local News

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT)- Changes in safety will be put into place for students at Daviess County Public schools.

Daviess County Public School officials will start a special law enforcement model where five officers hired by the district will patrol schools.

Schools are currently patrolled by two Sheriff’s Deputies as school resource officers. Other officers will patrol elementary schools and middle schools.

If the schools board approves, officials hope to have the new system in place for the next school year.
