EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Those opposed to the sale of the University of Evansville’s radio station WUEV are urging people to send letters of concern to the Federal Communications Commission.
The deadline to submit a filing is Friday, June 28.
The university previously announced the sale of WUEV 91.5 to WAY-FM.
The sale would save the university an estimated $1 million over 10 years.
WAY-FM is a national, nonprofit radio broadcasting network. The network currently serves the Evansville area under the 91.9 frequency and will expand upon its local service with the acquisition of 91.5.
