Delaware Elementary School kicks off Coat-a-Kid program

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Students at Delaware Elementary School helped kick off this year’s Coat-a-Kid program.

Each year, from October through December, Don’s Claytons Dry Cleaning accepts coats, cleans them, and then distributes them to area agencies so they can be given out.

To celebrate another year of giving away the coats, students were allowed to pick up a jacket and pitch it into donation boxes.

The program’s goal is to provide a coat to every kid that needs one.

To date, over 150,000 coats have been given out across the community.
