EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — A delegation from the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce is heading to Omaha, Nebraska on Monday.
The group includes Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.
This “inter-city leadership visit,“ as its being called, is a chance for leaders to learn more about what’s happening in and around Omaha.
The city was chosen for the visit because of its similarities to this region of Indiana.
Community leaders consider Omaha an aspirational city, and are using it as a benchmark for several economic indicators — such as employment growth.
The Southern Indiana delegation will wrap up its visit on Tuesday.
