EVANSVILLE, In. (WEHT) — Future development in Evansville was front and center during the 26th annual State of Real Estate at the Old National Events Plaza.

A panel of real estate experts presented patterns of growth and need in the real estate world.

They also spoke about upcoming development projects in the Tri-State.

Presenters focused on the growth of the medical industry here, including the stone family medical center, the new YMCA building, and the addition of addiction treatment centers.

The 420 Main building project was also mentioned.

“A lot of the tenants have already vacated,” said FC Tucker Commercial President Ken Newcomb, “and as we mentioned in our report, moving to other areas of town and other buildings downtown where we’ve seen a great absorption rate of new offices.”

Another big project addressed was the old YMCA building.

A task force of community leaders will construct a new game plan for the building.
