WADESVILLE, Ind. (WEHT)- A local family of six that lost their home in a fire on New Year’s Day is receiving help from the community. A Go Fund Me page set up on their behalf has raised over $6400 dollars so far.

Throughout the Evansville area, local businesses, including Schön Boutique on 316 North Wabash in Evansville, are welcoming donations for the family so people can drop off clothes and other essentials to help replace what the family lost in the fire.

While the fire claimed their home, no one was hurt by the blaze that was reportedly spotted by the family’s 12-year-old son. There’s still no word as to what caused the fire. The Go Fund Me page with information on how to donate can be found here.
