Donut Festival raising money for Stop Light City Park

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – It’s an event you don’t want to miss with all you can eat donuts and coffee.

It’s happening in downtown Evansville this weekend.

The second annual Evansville Donut Festival is raising money for the future Stop Light City Playground.

The festival will have donuts from local shops with unlimited samples.

You can wash it all down with 30 gallons of coffee.

Last year the Donut Festival money was split between Stop Light City and Mickey’s Kingdom.

This year, organizers hope to finish off funding for the west side park.

“Why donuts? Why not donuts? Donuts are the best thing, haha. I probably have more than I should on a weekly basis. Six plus. But we just thought it’d be fun, a very creative snack, if that makes sense.”

The Donut Festival is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old National Events Plaza.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids.
