After being open for a few months, a brewing company in downtown Evansville is now able to launch its own product.

“We’re a brewery and we’re excited to put our beers on that we brewed right here,” said Myriad Brewing Company owner Jason Elliott.

“We’ll be launching four, a session IPA, a cream ale, a black IPA and an English mild with rooibos tea,” said head brewer Max King.

A permit for the brewery room didn’t come until less than a month ago, but when they got the permit King got to work, “I did four straight days of brewing,” he said.

The new beers will officially launch on Wednesday and Elliott says he’s excited to be apart of downtown’s growth.

“The more places like us, coffee shops, other bars, even other breweries that show up downtown the more there is and creates a destination and reason and a place people go to not only checkout one place but check out several,” said Elliott.

“Through a lot of work its up and running so it’s cool to have a functioning place in an old building,” said King.

In the coming weeks and months, Elliott and King hope to have almost all of their taps filled with their own beers. The expansion doesn’t stop there. Myriad hopes to be able to distribute and sell their beers in the Evansville area this year as well.
