EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The ghouls and goblins have gone into hiding so now out comes the Christmas decorations.
The downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District broke out their decor.
Main Street in downtown was closed Friday morning so they could bring out the Garland and big snowflakes to start the season of giving.
This year’s big attraction will again be the two twelve-foot tall nutcrackers by the arch.
“We’re adding new lighting on riverside drive and some more of it, so you’ll come in and see all the trees wrapped. That’ll be here by thanksgiving. It does take a few weeks to put everything together. We have some custom landscaped areas in some of our historic fountains and then Santa’s mailbox and lots of new things!”
For those counting, Christmas is 54 days away.
