With several big events on the horizon, including Labor Day Weekend, area law enforcement wants to remind you of what can happen if you drive drunk.

City, county, and state law enforcement officials kicked off the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign from an autopsy room at the county morgue.

Part of the traffic enforcement detail will be increased patrols and DUI checkpoints in an effort to crack down on impaired and aggressive driving.

Sheriff Dave Wedding says Vanderburgh County averages about 15 traffic fatalities a year.

The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign runs through Labor Day.
