Police are investigating a car crash that left one man dead. It happened last night along Illinois route 242.
Around 10 p.m. Friday night, a silver grand marquis was traveling south along the state route near County Road 300 North.
According to police, the driver, 57-year-old Troy Manahan missed a curve and ran off the road.
The car traveled through a grassy median before overturning and crashing into an embankment, resulting in Manahan dying at the scene.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene including Wayne County Sheriff’s office and EMS.
