Duo arrested on drug charges

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Two people have been arrested after police say evidence is “indicative of an ongoing large-scale drug trafficking operation”.

The arrests were made on Nov. 19th at a home on Creek Branch Cove in Owensboro.

Owensboro Police Detectives arrested 28-year-old Central Holman IV and Kendall Powers on drug related charges.

When detectives arrived at the home, they say they found a large amount of suspected crystal meth, a large amount of marijuana, digital scales, numerous Ziplock baggies, and a large amount of cash. They also found handguns at the home.

Powers is accused of kicking a police officer during her arrest.

Powers is charged with trafficking meth, trafficking marijuana, assault of a police officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Holman is charged with trafficking meth, trafficking marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

He’s also being held on a charge of federal prisoner held in transit.

Holman is being held on a $45,000 cash bond in the Daviess County Jail.
