Employees evacuated due to fire at Berry Global

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) The all-clear has been given after firefighters were called to Berry Global in Evansville.

Fire officials say the call came in around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. The flames were put out within 30 minutes.

We’re told a belt on a belt-driven machine came off, causing the fire.

Authorities say there were no injuries reported, and everyone is accounted for.

EFD says it was thanks to training with Berry Global that they were able to get the situation under control so quickly.
