EPD: 16-year-old injured in overnight shooting

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Evansville Police say a teenager has been shot.

A Sgt. from the Evansville Police Department says the shooting happened around 1:15 Friday morning in the 1500 block of Florence Street.

Few details about the circumstances of the shooting have been released.

Authorities say the 16-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries they are expected to survive.

Detectives and officers have been following up on leads, and say they currently have no suspects in custody.
