EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A “butane honey oil” lab is found at a home near Read Street and West Michigan Street in Evansville.
According to EPD, the narcotics lab on Read Street was a “Butane Honey Oil” lab, which is used to extract THC from Marijuana. Due to the nature of the lab, it is highly explosive, which is why the streets were blocked nearby. The “butane honey oil” extracts THC from marijuana and can be highly explosive.
47-year-old Randall McDowell has been arrested for dealing marijuana.
The Hazardous Materials Unit has responded to a home in Evansville.
The home is near the corner of Read Street and West Michigan Street.
We’re told EPD is working to serve a warrant and there could be a narcotics lab.
Police do not believe anyone is in the home, but the Hazard Materials Unit is on scene.
