EPD investigating reports of stolen catalytic converters

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Evansville Police say there have been several reports across the Tri-State of stolen catalytic converters.

EPD says vans and work trucks are the main targets because thieves can get underneath them easily and take the part.

Business owners are urged to check their work vehicles, especially those not used on a daily basis.

If you’ve had your catalytic converter stolen, you’re asked to call 911 or the Records room at 812-436-7956 to have a report filed.

Police want to know if there are any businesses with surveillance video that could help with these investigations.

Anyone with information can call 812-436-7979, or the WeTip Hotline at 800-78-CRIME.
