EPD: Juvenile takes family car out for early morning joyride while parents sleep

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Evansville Police officers say they pulled over a vehicle around 2:00 Monday morning at the intersection of Columbia and Heidelbach.

E-P-D says as they spoke to the driver, it became clear that the individual should not have been behind the wheel, and wasn’t even old enough to possess a license.

Police say it appears the juvenile decided to take the family car out for a joyride while their parents were sleeping.

Authorities say after making contact with the parents, the juvenile was released back into their custody.
