EPD: Lifesaving tourniquets used on dog attack victim

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Evansville Police Department says a woman was attacked by a dog and lifesaving tourniquets were used.

Police say they were called to the 300 block of S. Garvin around 11:30 Wednesday morning for someone being attacked by a dog.

When the officers arrived, they found 56-year-old Jennifer Wise not responding.

Two lifesaving tourniquets were applied to her upper arms to control the bleeding.

According to an EPD media report, the dog was owned by the victim.

Animal Control took the dog.

Wise was taken to the hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
