EPD looking for a suspect after shots fired

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Evansville Police Department is investigating a shots fired call at American Window near Lynch and Oak Hill Friday.

Police tell us the suspect took off and that’s why they set up a perimeter in the area. The shots fired call happened around 4 p.m.

“We’re not releasing the number of suspects right now, we’re still hashing out exactly what happened. We have uninvolved witnesses that we’ve spoken to, the victim was fleeing, obviously, he was being shot at,” said Sgt. Peter DeYoung.

We’re told there was a vehicle involved that left the scene.

There are no known injuries and no arrests yet.
