Evansville police were called to the White Castle restaurant on the city’s far east side, after a report of a robbery.
An employee says that when she went outside to take out the trash, a man put a gun to her head.
She says the man told her that he’d already killed four people, and demanded she take him inside.
Investigators say the suspect then led her and a manager to the safe, where he took a “good amount” of cash.
Police say K-9s were unable to pick up a scent.
There are currently no suspects, but authorities tell us they are going through the restaurant’s surveillance video for clues.
No one was injured during the robbery.
