EPD responds to man with gun on First Ave.

Police filled several roads near Edgar St., right off First Ave., after first responders say a woman was threatened by her fiance with a gun. 

She ran outside and dialed 911. 

That’s when the suspect barricaded himself inside the home. 

After about an hour of negotiation, SWAT sent in tear gas and the suspect came out. 

This isn’t the first time police were called to that address. 

Officers on the scene say a couple years ago they responded to a domestic violence call involving the same couple. 

No on was injured Wednesday. The suspect is in custody.

Vanderburgh County Dispatch says a person is making threats at the corner of First Ave. and Edgar St.

Dispatch says the person has a gun and is making threats.

Police are setting up a perimeter.
