EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A Facebook post is spreading on social media, insinuating that someone is planning a shooting in Evansville. Police told Eyewitness News on Tuesday that they are aware of the post, but that it’s no different than many other posts of its kind.

The post warns people not to go to the mall, but it does not mention a specific mall.

The post also mentions ‘reports,’ but Eyewitness News is not aware of any such reports from law enforcement or other media outlets.

Police said there have been many similar posts of this kind in the past.

Eastland Mall said on Tuesday that it’s operating as usual.
