Evansville Police are searching for a suspect after gunfire rang out in an unlikely neighborhood overnight leading to a car crash.

The driver is hospitalized and another man’s house was damaged.

EPD confirmed that there was an attempted murder incident around 3 a.m. Sunday.

A vehicle was driven onto a home’s porch on the corner of Ravenswood and Grand in Evansville.

According to police, the rear of the vehicle was shot multiple times and there were blood stains on the driver’s seat.

The homeowner was not home at the time of the incident according to neighbors.

The homeowner was alerted briefly after the incident by a security alarm.

The homeowner’s next door neighbor told Eyewitness News she heard a gunshot and then a big crash.

There’s no further information on arrests or injuries.
