EPD: Two injured in E. Oregon St. shooting

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Police are investigating a shooting that injured two people on Sunday night in the 1400 block of E. Oregon St.

Around 10:40 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired.

While getting a statement from a witness, police said a car arrived at a local hospital with two shooting victims.

Police said they determined the car had been in the area of the shots fired call.

According to the witness, there was a verbal exchange between the people in the car and someone standing near the car. Police said several shots were fired and the car drove away.

The victims were treated for their injuries and are expected to survive.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Evansville Police are currently investigating a shooting a woman claims to have witnessed shortly before 11 Sunday night, in the 1300 block of E. Oregon Street.

According to a police report, the woman says that after the shots were fired, she saw a vehicle leave the scene.

Shortly after that, dispatchers were told about two gunshot victims arriving at a local emergency room.

EPD hasn’t released any details about their condition and says there are no suspects in custody.
