Evansville Burger King, wrapped in red tape, closed until further notice

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A sign on the door of the Burger King at Covert Avenue and Highway 41 says “closed until further notice.”

Red tape welcomed prospective customers looking for breakfast.

A source tells Eyewitness News the restaurant is closed due to the exhaust fan being broken.

One customer complained that there was too much smoke.

Fire marshals have closed the restaurant until a new fan arrives. They say the CO2 level inside the restaurant was too high.

The source tells us the restaurant could open Friday.
