Evansville city buildings sanitized

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — An Evansville company is attempting to make many city buildings COVID-19 free.

Pass Pest Control is sanitizing everything from firehouses, to playgrounds, to the jail, and other facilities.

Owner Kevin Pass says the process he uses gets the disinfectant into places that wiping surfaces down or spraying cannot, and the work compliments protective gear and other cleaning measures.

“We just think it’s important as the economy is opening back up to make people feel a little bit more at ease with the process,” Pass said.

Pass Pest Control is treating the following at no cost to the city:

200 city police vehicles

42 city buses

23 fire trucks

36 fire department support vehicles

In addition to the vehicle fleet, Pass Pest Control is or has treated the following. Buildings are being sanitized at cost:

Vanderburgh County Jail

All playgrounds

14 fire stations

68 bus stop shelters

City bus garage

City County Building

Fire department headquarters

Dispatchers office

Police auxiliary office
