Evansville’s City Council wants city government to shift to 100% renewable energy by 2050.

Monday night, council adopted a non-binding resolution acknowledging an accelerating rate of climate change.

It was a pledge to reduce Evansville’s carbon footprint and increase health and wellbeing.

Council wants greener infrastructure, such as urban tree canopies and electric vehicle charging stations.
