EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT)- Evansville company, Flanders Electric says it is looking into ways it can produce electric motors for ventilators.

Ventilators are a crucial tool in the fight against COVID-19 and there are concerns there may not be enough as cases escalated within the Tri-State and nationwide.

Flanders already produces electric motors and components at its facility in Evansville but is currently looking to determine if it can meet the specifications for cutting laminations for certain ventilator motors.

Officials are not sure how many parts it can produce or if it will lead to additional jobs.
