EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — CareSource, a nonprofit, multistate health plan, will host a free Expungement Clinic and Community Resource Fair, offering information to those with a legal record of an arrest or conviction on how to get those files expunged, or sealed.

The clinic will be on Friday, from 8 a.m. until noon, at WorkOne Southwest, located at 700 E. Walnut street, in Evansville.

This will protect their privacy and allow them to take advantage of employment, education or other opportunities that might have previously been closed due to criminal records.

During the Expungement Clinic, the Volunteer Lawyers Program will give one-on-one consultations to determine whether or not attendees are eligible for expungement.

The clinic is part of a pilot program with the Indiana Department of Corrections.

This event is free and open to the public.
