Evansville fall leaf pick up extended

Local News

Evansville, In (WEHT) – Good news for those in Evansville needing a little extra time to get those leaves up out of the yard and sent away with the trash truck.

The annual fall leaf pickup has bene extended until Friday December 20th.

The service is available to anyone who pays for trash service with their EWSU bill, including newly annexed areas. However, anyone living in an apartment, mobile home community, business, or any commercial property is not eligible for this year.

Leaves must be placed into a biodegradable plastic, paper leaf bag, or container and placed out the same day as trash pickup.

If these requirements aren’t met, the leaves will not be picked up. Also, if the leaves aren’t in a biodegradable bag, the resident will be notified and ask to re-bag their leaves into a proper bag.

If you feel you met the requirements and leaves were not picked up, please call Republic Services at 812-424-3345
