Evansville Forever 21 could close, according to reports

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT/CNN) – Evansville’s Forever 21 in Eastland Mall is one of 178 locations nationwide that could close, according to CNBC and USA Today.

The company announced the locations after filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy on Sunday.

Company officials said 178 of its more than 800 stores could potentially be closed.

Forever 21 was founded in 1984 in Los Angeles by South Korean immigrants and quickly expanded in suburban-based malls.
