Evansville home catches fire twice in less than 12 hours

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Evansville firefighters were called back early Friday morning to a house that caught fire Thursday night.

Around 3:30 Friday morning, a neighbor reported an abandoned home in the 600 block of N. 10th Street was burning once again.

When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting through the roof.

Crews were called to the same home just before 8:30 Thursday night to find the back of the house on fire.

The fire was put out quickly.

Friday morning, it took about 30 minutes to extinguish the flames.

There have been no reports of injuries from either fire, and no word yet on a cause.
