EVANSVILLE, Ind ( WEHT)- Local efforts to help those affected by the Tennessee tornado continued Thursday.
The owner of Evansville Live has been collecting clothes, toys, and hygiene products for relief efforts all week.
With the help of local organizations and businesses, the Evansville Live team was able to exceed their donation expectations.
“So I decided hey I can inspire change, we can do change. So I got together with local businesses and organizations in the area and I organized drop off points and got together with Eyewitness News and promoted it,” said Austin Michael, the owner of Evansville Live.
Now we have three car fulls of goods and were going to drive then all down to Nashville.
The team is taking the donated items to the Nashville rescue mission.
