EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — An Evansville man accused in a fatal crash nearly two years ago has accepted a plea deal.

In July 2017, authorities say Justin DeClue was driving drunk along Darmstadt Road, when his vehicle crashed head-on into another vehicle driven by Christine Long of Newburgh.

Long died in the crash.

Police say DeClue’s blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit at the time.

Court records show DeClue entered into a plea agreement earlier this month.

DeClue is scheduled to be sentenced on August 2.
