Evansville man accused of killing two people makes first court appearance

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – An Evansville man charged with two counts of murder appears in court.

Ernest Douglas is accused of killing Donte Meriweather and Satanna Kendle-Douglas.

Their bodies were found Tuesday at a home on Plantation Ct. in Evansville.

The corner says both died from multiple stab wounds.

Evansville police say Satanna and Ernest were married.

A judge ordered Douglas to be held without bond.

He’s due back in court on Monday, August 26th.
