EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – An Evansville man is accused of sending explicit text messages to a girl.

Jesse Hunter is facing child solicitation charges.

On Aug. 4th, Evansville Police were called to a home on Allens Lane regarding a harassment report.

The caller said his granddaughter received some inappropriate text messages from Hunter

According to the affidavit, the victim said, “Grandpa there is something I want to tell you about.” That’s when he says his granddaughter showed him inappropriate text messages from Hunter.

When police asked the victim if this was the first time she had received messages from Hunter, she said he had done it in the past, but she never kept the messages.

EPD officers took the victim’s cell phone to review the messages and verify they came from Hunter.

Police say they verified it was Hunter’s phone through multiple sources.

Hunter is being held without bond in the Vanderburgh County Jail.

His next court appearance is scheduled for August 16th at 10 a.m.
