Evansville man accused of shooting at girlfriend during fight over dog bite

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Evansville Police say a man shot at his girlfriend during a fight over a dog bite.

Police say the girlfriend of 27-year-old Terry Johnson said he shot at her several times.

The incident happened at a home on Harriet Street in Evansville.

Someone pushed Johnson out of the front door, and he ran off. Police later found Johnson in the area.

Johnson is charged with felony criminal recklessness. His bond has been set at one million dollars.

Johnson was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

His next court date is scheduled for July 25th at 1 p.m.
