An Evansville man has been arrested for one burglary and could end up facing charges for multiple attempted burglaries at other locations.
Early Sunday morning Evansville Police drove to the 1st Avenue Collision Center where a burglary alarm went off.
When EPD got on the scene they found Erick Rickard leaving the building.
After Rickard was arrested police searched him and found a handgun in his pocket. They also found prescription drugs that were allegedly taken in the burglary.
He could possibly be connected to multiple attempted reported burglaries around the city as well according to police.
Police believe windows broken out at Quality Automotive, Donut Bank, and Octapharma could be tied to Rickard.
At this point he’s only facing charges for the incident on 1st Avenue.
His charges of Burglary While Armed With a Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon are both felonies.
