Evansville man convicted of June murder

A jury convicts a man on Thursday night in the death of an Evansville woman. 

20-year-old Deryan Cook was found guilty of murder and felony murder for shooting 41-year-old Jamie Baker. 

He also pled guilty to a firearm enhancement which could add five to 20 years to his sentencing. 

Police say Baker was shot while walking along Cass Ave. back in June. 

Cook will be sentenced on January 8, at 1:30 p.m.
