Evansville MPO OK’s proposed Lloyd Expressway changes

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – According to Evansville Deputy Mayor Steve Schaefer, the Evansville Metropolitan Planning Organization approved proposed improvements to the Lloyd Expressway.

The proposals from the Indiana Department of Transportation are aimed at improving congestion and safety.

The cost will be $55 million for reconstruction of the Lloyd Expressway from Rosenberger to Wabash, with multiple intersection changes planned, including Vann, Burkhardt, and Cross Pointe.

Schaefer said the cost will be split 80/20 federal-to-state.
