EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A third person has been arrested and is facing charges after police say a body was found at a home on N. 3rd Ave. in Evansville.

55-year-old Joan Paul is charged with obstruction of justice, failing to report a dead body and abuse of a corpse.

Two others, 32-year-old Angela Paul and 56-year-old Gary Anderson, are also facing charges in connection with this case.

Angela Paul is facing murder charges.

Police found the body after receiving a tip Monday morning.

EPD says it looks like someone tried to conceal the body and that the body had been there for an extended amount of time.

All three are being booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail.

Gary Anderson, 56, is charged with obstruction of justice, abuse of a corpse, and failing to report a dead body.

And 32-year-old Angela Paul, has been charged with murder, obstruction of justice, abuse of a corpse, and failing to report a dead body.

The body was found in a detached garage at a home in the 1000 block of N. 3rd Ave. in Evansville.

Police believe the body had been there for an extended period of time and they say it looked like they tried to conceal the body.

The body has not been identified at this time.

Police received a tip about a dead person at the home and confirmed it when they went to the house.

EPD says the person was found in a detached garage.

Police say it looks like someone tried to conceal the body. They believe the body has been there for an extended period of time.

The identity of the person has not been released at this time.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Evansville Police are investigating after finding a body at a property on North 3rd Avenue.

Evansville Police said a tip led officers to a home in the 1000 block of North 3rd Avenue. Dispatch confirms a call came in as a welfare check around 10:23 p.m. Sunday.

EPD has classified the situation as a death investigation.

The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office said the remains have been removed from the property. The coroner’s office is working to identify the property.

Evansville Police officers were still at the scene late Monday morning.
