Evansville Police report more catalytic converter thefts

Local News

Evansville Police are asking any local businesses that have experienced catalytic converter thefts to contact them.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — There are more reports of catalytic converters being stolen from Evansville area trucks used for business.

Over the weekend, Evansville police responded to Hummel Electric after the business reported two converters were stolen from work trucks.

And, on Burkhardt Road, a business there also filed a report of a missing converter in one of its work vehicles.

Police say work trucks are a prime target, since they’re easy to slide under in order to take the part.

Evansville Police want to know if there are any businesses with surveillance video that could help with these investigations.

If you’ve been a victim, give EPD a call.
