Evansville police use KFC to rescue dogs near 41

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Evansville Police Department used a tasty way to rescue three dogs that were loose near the intersection of 41 and Covert Avenue.

This is video you will only see on Eyewitness News.

EPD officers on scene told our crew that they had to shut down the right southbound lane of 41 to recover three dogs just after 4 pm Saturday afternoon.

Animal control was also on scene.

The dogs wouldn’t come out that easily, so officers used KFC Original Recipe Chicken to bribe them!

Crews opened that lane on 41 after about 15 minutes.
