Evansville Regional Airport receives stimulus money

EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) Evansville Regional Airport will receive nearly $20M from the Federal Aviation Administration through the recently passed CARES act.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides funds to increase the federal share to 100% for the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and supplemental grants already planned for fiscal year 2020.

This means critical safety and capacity projects can continue despite financial hardships due to the coronavirus pandemic.
