EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Evansville Rescue Mission is providing grab-and-go meals to anyone who stops by.

The nonprofit is providing meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week. Rescue Mission volunteer, Jason Harper says that he is grateful to be able to help those in the community who are going through the same experiences as he has.

“I think its a great thing,” Harper says, “it’s everything to me to be feeding people, that’s what I care about. Working in a kitchen, that’s all I dreamed about when I was homeless.”

The Rescue Mission is projected to serve 300,000 meals this year.
