EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Many Americans are watching something they have never seen, the possible impeachment of a president, while others are watching the process for the third time.
Rosemary Geiss has been following the impeachment process against President Trump since it began, but this is not the first time she has watched an impeachment hearing.
“Clinton you know every once in a while they’ll bring up his indiscretion and Nixon’s when he was disobeying the law.”
Geiss says there are some similarities and some differences between the three impeachment hearings.
“Politics back then were not so nasty. This has been very nasty that’s the difference that I see,” says Giess.
According to Geiss, the three impeachment hearings all had a partisan feel. However, the current articles against the president seem to be more intense than the Nixon and Clinton impeachment hearings.
Clinton’s was really smooth because he admitted his guilt so there wasn’t anybody pushing him to admit his guilt he admitted it. Nixon resigned so that was over, but I have noticed people now are bloodthirsty.
Although her love for politics isn’t going away anytime soon, Giess says she hopes the impeachment process does.
