OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Owensboro police have turned over all evidence in the investigation of Father Ed Bradley to the Prosecutor’s office.

Allegations of sexual abuse were reported against the priest earlier this year.

Owensboro Police confirm everything from the department’s investigation and is now in the hands of Commonwealth Attorney Bruce Kuegel’s office.

Bradley is accused of sexually abusing two minors in the 1980s.

For a portion of that time, he was principal at Owensboro Catholic High School.

The priest also at one point was the chaplain of the men’s basketball teams at Kentucky and Louisville under Rick Pitino.

In May, Bishop William Medley announced a recommendation to permanently suspend Father Bradley from public ministry after the Diocese review board found the allegations brought against Bradley to be credible.

The Vatican will decide whether to permanently suspend Father Bradley.
